5 Time Management Tips And Techniques for Home Business

5 Time Management Tips And Techniques for Home Business

Time Management Tips And Techniques

Time management (or more accurately  activities management) is an absolutely
essential skill that we must master if we want to achieve the success we desire
in our businesses.

Time Management Tip #1

Establish a morning (or nightly if that is when you work on your business) routine.

ALL successful people have them.

Here is an example of a morning routine.

  1. Upon waking, read positive affirmations/intentions, visualize goals, meditate
or whatever puts you in the right frame of mind to begin your day.
  2. Drink lots of water.
  3. Eat a healthy breakfast.
  4. Exercise. 20 to 30 minutes
  5. Read motivational/educational book for 15 to 30 minutes
  6. Listen to motivational/educational audio for 15 to 30 minutes
  7. Begin income producing activities.

To save time, you can listen to an audio book or other audios while exercising
or commuting etc.
If you can’t complete all of these activities at one time, you may
have to move some to later in the day.

Steps 1-3 and 7 take priority. Steps 4-6 are also very important, but can be done
at a later time during the day, if necessary.

The idea is to come up with a schedule that covers all of the bases, that works
for you.
Then stick to it like your future depends on it.

Because it does!

We all have the same amount of time, it is  what we choose to do with our time
that matters.

Time Management Tip #2

Define your income producing activities (IPAs).

Very Important!

There are many seemingly important things that we can do that take up a lot
of time, but don’t actually produce any income.

Examples of Non Income Producing Activities:

  • Checking your email.
  • Watching YouTube videos.
  • Surfing around chatting on social media.
  • Being in constant learning mode with no action.

While some of these activities can be important, they don’t directly produce
income.

Examples of Income Producing
Activities:

  • Writing a blog post on your own blog.
  • Shooting a quick 2 to 3 minute video.
  • Syndicating your content.
  • Email your list.
  • Direct engagement with potential clients on social media.
  • Build your social media following.
  • Placing solo ads or facebook ads.
  • Host a weekly live event. (hangout, periscope, call).

These activities will vary depending on what type of business you are in, but
I think you get the idea.

Time Management Tip #3

Block out a 2 hour time slot each day that you can dedicate to working on
your IPAs.
If you are focused and avoid distractions, this is all the time you
will need.

Remember this is YOUR business.

You are not getting paid for how much time you spend working, but for how
effective you are in using the time you have.

Time Management Tip #4

At the end of each day, plan out exactly what you will do the next day.

Hint: ALL successful people do this.

Your plan should be prioritized with your IPAs at the top of the list. These
must be done before non income producing activities.

NO exceptions.

Wouldn’t it be great to have all of your IPAs done first and have the rest of
the day to do whatever you want?
That’s what the “Freedom Lifestyle” is all
about!

Time Management Tip #5

To be at the top of your game, you should take breaks periodically to stay
focused.

Lately, I have been starting to use the “pomodoro technique”. With this
technique, you laser focus on one task for 25
minutes and then take a 5
minute break.

Get up from your computer or put down your phone or other mobile device
and walk around, exercise, grab a drink or whatever to
recharge your
batteries.

Then go back and continue working on your IPAs. After 4 cycles, take a 10
minute break.

For this, I use a program called “Tomato Timer”. It is free and can be found
here: Tomato Timer

Works great.

Go to settings to adjust alarm type and volume.

If you follow these time management tips and techniques on a daily basis,
you will see a dramatic increase in your productivity and in the results
you see in your business.

7 Steps to Success

7 Steps to Success

7 Steps to Success

If you want to be successful, there are certain steps that you must take to ensure
that
this will happen. Pay particular attention to steps 1 and 2.

Until you master these 2 steps, you will find that it is just to easy to procrastinate
or
waste time doing nonproductive activities.

I hope this will help you achieve the success that you desire.

Step 1. Find Your Why

What motivates you. What will drive you to finally say enough is enough and
make
a decision to do whatever it takes to succeed.

Take some time with this. You have to have a strong enough reason to keep
you
going when it would be easier to slack off or even quit and give up.

  • Do you want to quit your job?
  • Live wherever you want?
  • Spend more time with your family?
  • Have total time freedom to do whatever you want, whenever you want
    with whoever want?
  • Travel the world while still managing your business?

This is a very crucial step so give it the attention it deserves.

Step 2. Set a Crystal Clear Intention

What will it take to accomplish your why? How soon do you want it?

Spell it out exactly.

Examples:

  • I will make $___ in ___ days or less.
  • I will buy a new ___ in ___ months.
  • I will be able to ___ by the ___ (day) of ___ (month) in ___ (year).

Write it down. Be very specific.

  • Where will you be when you complete this intention?
  • What proof will you have?
  • What do you see, hear and smell?

Read this aloud to yourself daily with passion and belief. Know you can
accomplish
your intention.

Step 3. Have the Right Information

There are many different ways to market your product or service. Start with
one way of marketing and master it.

You can add others later as your expertise increases, but you don’t want
to be scattered all over the place with your marketing efforts.

We can provide you with training on many different marketing methods.

Step 4. Take a Leap of Faith

Take action before you know all the answers. You don’t have to have all
the answers to be successful, but you do have to take action.

Just do it!

“You don’t have to be great to get started, but you have to start to
become great.”

Knowledge without action is useless.

Step 5. Create a Short Term Action Plan

  • What are your daily income producing activities?
  • What is your game plan for the week?
  • How often will you post to your blog?
  • How many videos a week will you create?
  • How many times a day and when will you post to your social media
    accounts?
  • When will you conduct or invite attendees to webinars and hangouts?

Step 6. Develop Long Term Habits

Short term actions become long term habits if you do them consistently
over time.

Develop a routine and stick to it. Soon it will become second nature and
you won’t feel right if you don’t finish your
tasks for the day.

Step 7. Pass It On

  • Become a leader
  • Help others to succeed.
  • Build a team.
  • Create a legacy you will be proud of.

I know these 7 steps to success will help you create the change you need
to be successful if you apply them consistently in your daily life.

If this helped you, I would greatly appreciate it if you would leave your
thoughts in a comment below and share with your friends.

You Must Have a Clear Vision to Make Money

You Must Have a Clear Vision to Make Money

You Must Have a Clear Vision

Do you have a clear vision?

What drives you?

What is your reason why?

This is your starting point.

What Do You Want?

You have to be specific. Exactly what do you want to accomplish and why?

Write it down!

Work on it and tweak it until you are satisfied that this is what you want to
accomplish.

You will know that you have found your reason why when you have an
emotional response just thinking about it.

You have to get very detailed:

  • If it is money – How much?
  • If it is a new car – What make and model, color, options?
  • If it is travel – Where would you go. What would you do there?
  • If it is a new house – How many bedrooms, location, style, color?

You get the idea. It has to be your vision.

You should be able to close your eyes and see exactly what it will be like to
achieve it.

Use all of your senses.

  • I can feel the warm sand between my toes…
  • I can hear the sweet sound of the engine revving…
  • I can see the smile on their face when I…
  • A sense of relief washes over me after I…

This is what will keep you going when difficulties arise.

And they will…

When they do, picture your vision in your mind.

When Do You Want It?

Equally as important as knowing your “why” is establishing a “when”.

If you don’t have a specific time frame or date that you will achieve your vision,
it is to easy to put off doing what you need to do to be successful.

This will give you a sense of urgency.

I am not talking about the kind of outside pressure that a boss or job would put
on you.

I am talking about an eager anticipation to achieve your vision and how
exciting that will feel when you get there.

Benefits of a Clear Vision

One of the main benefits of having a clear vision, is that it will help you to focus.
It is so easy to get distracted.

Focus is essential to your success. Everybody has the same amount of time…

Successful people use that time wisely.

A clear vision will also give you that extra push to write that blog post when you
are tired, or make that video or send
out that email…

Summary

  1. Have a Clear Vision.
  2. Stay focused.
  3. Take Massive Action.
  4. Have Fun!
